From May 16 through June 1, INTERSECT BY LEXUS will present a partial recreation of the “LEXUS – An Encounter With Anticipation” exhibit from this April’s Milano Design Week 2016.
The LEXUS DESIGN EVENT in Milan presents unique opportunities each year for LEXUS to collaborate with globally recognized creators in exploring the endless possibilities of its approach to design. In 2016, the LEXUS – An Encounter With Anticipation exhibit featured a special collaboration between the widely acclaimed design team Formafantasma and world-renowned chef Yoji Tokuyoshi. Inspired by the advanced hydrogen fuel cell system that powers the LEXUS LF-FC concept car and produces water as its only byproduct, the exhibit offered an unexpected and incomparable encounter that invited visitors to anticipate a future society in which hydrogen power plays an important role.
The event in Tokyo partially recreates this experience, featuring installations designed by Formafantasma, along with a culinary experience produced by Chef Tokuyoshi. As in Milan, this unique collaboration takes its inspiration from the advanced hydrogen fuel cell system that powers the LEXUS LF-FC.
Exhibits include a kinetic electric sculpture lit by an advanced hydrogen fuel cell system that generates power, while Chef Tokuyoshi treats visitor to a unique taste experience. This echoes the way LEXUS envisions the future by delivering an experience that excites and surprises.
LEXUS invites you to come and encounter this exhibit at INTERSECT BY LEXUS in Tokyo.
※Although we have prepared ample quantities of the culinary delights produced by Chef Tokuyoshi, we beg your forgiveness if supplies are exhausted when you visit.
