INTERSECT BY LEXUS – TOKYO hosts an exhibition of prototypes by up-and-coming designers that won prizes at the Lexus Design Award 2015, the international competition highlighting the best in new global design, from May 14th to June 3rd.

This year’s Lexus Design Award is themed around the senses. This theme is particularly relevant to LEXUS, as the whole driving experience is about senses: from seeing the striking exterior design of our cars, to hearing the sound of our finely tuned engines and feeling the sensation of our steering wheel when you round a corner.

The exhibition at INTERSECT will feature selections from “LEXUS – A Journey of the Senses,” the installation of Lexus Design Award panel finalists and prize-winners shown recently at Milan Design Week 2015, where LEXUS became the first automaker to win the Best Entertaining award. Exhibits include Sense-Wear, which was awarded the Grand Prix, Animal Masks, which allows the user to see the world as animals do, and INSTAMP, which uses the pressure and angle of touch to bring a heightened artistic effect to lettering.
