On September 14th, when the world’s largest shopping event, Vogue Fashion’s Night Out, takes place in the Omotesando, Harajuku, and Aoyama area of Tokyo, INTERSECT BY LEXUS – TOKYO will host a original leather badge workshop led by Shinji Iwamoto of the popular handmade leather brand Roberu.
Guests can select their preferred choice of alphabetical patterns on four types of seat leather used in the flagship coupe LC, a car which truly embodies the next generation of LEXUS. After then choosing either pin, rubber, or magnet, Iwamoto himself will put the finishing touches to each guest’s customized badge. In addition to the leather badges in letter designs, there is also a choice of two pin badges stylishly embossed with the LEXUS logo.
Participants who post on social media after the workshop with a predetermined hashtag can receive two complimentary leather badges (for guests who do not post on social media, there is a fee of 1,000 yen, including tax). All guests who take part in the event also receive a courtesy drink ticket that is redeemable at the INTERSECT BY LEXUS – TOKYO Lounge.
Starting September 13th, a CRAFTED FOR LEXUS exhibition runs in the Garage space until October 10th. It will feature the entire CRAFTED FOR LEXUS lineup, a lifestyle collection born out of unique collaborations with up-and-coming artisans who share an affinity with the LEXUS spirit of craftsmanship. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience these examples of incredible craftsmanship firsthand at INTERSECT BY LEXUS – TOKYO.

Shinji Iwamoto
Founder, Roberu
Shinji Iwamoto taught himself how to make leather items while studying illustration. After building up good word of mouth, he founded Roberu in 2009. At the core of the brand is the concept of “handmade items, made in Japan.” Iwamoto does all the hand-stitching and machine-sewing himself in partnership with reputable leather artisans in Asakusa, Tokyo. For CRAFTED FOR LEXUS, he has produced a canvas travel bag that combines Italian leather with hemp, and a pen case fabricated with the same exquisite leather used in the LEXUS LFA.
