9.18 Wed 19:00 START
The workshop held on Sept. 18 featured Masamichi Katayama of Wonderwall Inc, the man behind the space design for INTERSECT BY LEXUS, and another Tokyo creator with an affinity for space design, NIGO®. The first event of its kind since the launch of INTERSECT BY LEXUS – TOKYO was made possible and hosted by web magazine “honeyee.com” and consisted of an engaging talk session on the theme “Be Creative with Space.” honeyee.com/.fatale’s Editor-in-chief Tetsuya Suzuki hosted the event.
"During the first half, the discussion centered on themes such as “defining a creative space” and “how to enjoy a creative space,” approached from the guest speakers’ respective backgrounds in interior design and fashion. They gave examples of their attention to detail such as Mr. Katayama’s INTERSECT and personal office, and NIGO®’s atelier and unique methods of displaying items.
Ideas were also shared on fashion and how a space can offer an atmosphere that reflects Tokyo’s cultural mix. During the 2nd half, Mr. Katayama and NIGO® responded to questions from the floor. The subject of conversation expanded to cover the two speaker’s work and private life, before the workshop came to a close.
The evening was full of stimulating conversation in the relaxed atmosphere of the INTERSECT space.
