INTERSECT BY LEXUS – TOKYO’s ground-floor Garage space will host an exhibition showcasing the past two years’ finalists of the Lexus Design Award, the international competition that brings together the finest examples of “Design for a Better Tomorrow.”

Guided by the principal of designs enrich our society, Lexus has organized the prestigious award annually since 2013, supporting and nurturing the next generation of creative talent. Its ninth edition in 2021 received 2,079 entries from 66 countries and regions around the world. The eighth edition in 2020 received 2,042 entries from 79 countries and regions. Each year just six finalists were chosen and given funding to build and develop their prototypes with help from world class design mentors, with one Grand Prix winner selected from each group of finalists.

This exhibition will offer guests the opportunity to view these prototypes in person, as well as learn more about the Lexus Design Award through the explanations of the designs, and immersive video footage of the designers’ process and journeys.
